Overview
Playfina launched in 2022 and, according to Casino.ca, is run by Novatrix SRL of Costa Rica under an Anjouan licence; Casino Guru lists Dama N.V. and a Curaçao licence, so check the footer for current details. It shares its group with brands such as Golden Star and Spin Samurai. Casino.ca does not list Interac in the cashier, which relies on cards, Apple Pay, MuchBetter, Neosurf, MiFinity and crypto (see the payments table and our crypto page). Casino.ca says Playfina is not available in Ontario or Alberta; Ontario residents should use iGaming Ontario-registered sites (see our Ontario guide).
Games and software
Casino.ca counts 14,401 games from 103 studios, including around 12,800 slots and 3,751 jackpot games. The live casino is exceptionally large, with 1,349 tables from Pragmatic Play Live (527), Evolution (424), Playtech and Ezugi. Casino.ca notes that Evolution games cannot be played in British Columbia or Ontario. RNG blackjack and roulette come from Betsoft, Pragmatic Play and Nucleus, and table limits range from cents to C$10,000 on baccarat.
Bonuses and promotions
The welcome package is 280% up to C$2,600 plus 800 free spins over four deposits at the time of writing, with a C$30 minimum deposit. Terms reported by Casino.ca:
- Wagering: 35x
- Validity: 72 hours to activate, seven days to wager
- Weighting: slots 100%, table games 5%, jackpot and bonus-buy games 0%
- Free spins: worth C$0.10 each, winnings capped at C$100
- Deposit-bonus winnings capped at 10x the bonus, per Casino.ca's reviewer
Daily reloads have their own codes for each weekday, a weekend reload adds 50% up to C$200 plus spins, and there are a Daily Spins Race and a weekly slots tournament. The loyalty ladder has 175 levels, with a Lamborghini as the top prize, though live games earn no points. See our bonus and payment method guide.
Mobile experience
There is no dedicated app; the mobile site offers the same lobby and cashier as desktop.
Customer support
Support is offered by live chat and email. Casino.ca had to go through a chatbot and waited more than five minutes for a human agent, and an email reply took seven hours. Casino Guru lists English and German 24/7 chat; although the site is available in French, French support is not listed.
Safety, licence and reputation
Casino Guru rates the Safety Index as very high (9.0/10), with fair terms and very low complaint values, and user feedback is rated 'Excellent'. Casino.ca notes an AskGamblers Certificate of Trust and several industry awards. One Casino Guru user review raised a dispute over payments to a VIP manager outside the casino's system, which the casino said were voluntary. Tools include deposit, loss and wager limits, cool-offs from one week to six months and self-exclusion up to permanent; see our responsible gambling page.
Canada note: Not available in Ontario or Alberta; Evolution live games unavailable in BC and Ontario

Our verdict
Playfina is one of the biggest casinos available to Canadians in terms of games and live tables, and its 35x wagering and daily reloads give regular players plenty to work with. Strong ratings from Casino Guru and an AskGamblers Certificate of Trust add confidence. The lack of Interac is a real drawback for many Canadians, and bank-transfer withdrawals start at C$300. It suits crypto and e-wallet users outside Ontario and Alberta.
Is Playfina legal in Canada?
Ontario residents can legally play only at operators registered with iGaming Ontario. Playfina is licensed in Anjouan; outside Ontario, many Canadians use offshore-licensed casinos, while provincial lottery sites run the regulated options. Check the casino's terms for your province.
