Best Paysafecard Casinos in Canada

Paysafecard turns cash into a 16-digit PIN you can spend online. It is one of the most familiar prepaid options at casinos serving Canada, with one big catch: getting money back out.

Paysafecard is a trademark of Paysafe Group. CasinoPaymentsCA is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Paysafe Group.

Paysafecard casinos in Canada suit players who want to deposit without a bank card or online banking login. You buy a voucher, type the PIN into the cashier, and the money lands in your casino balance. No card number or bank account passes to the casino. This guide covers where the vouchers come from, how deposits work, the official limits and fees for Canada, how my paysafecard changes things, and the realistic options for withdrawing.

What is Paysafecard?

Paysafecard is a prepaid online payment method that began in Austria in 2000 and is now part of the Paysafe group, the same company behind the Skrill and Neteller e-wallets. A voucher is a printed receipt or digital code showing a 16-digit PIN with a fixed value in a set currency. Canadian vouchers are issued in Canadian dollars, which matters for fees, as explained below.

There are two ways to use it. You can enter a PIN on its own, with no account and no personal details. Or you can open a free my paysafecard account, load PINs into one balance and pay by logging in. The account route makes larger or repeat deposits easier and is required for the casinos that pay out to Paysafecard.

Where to buy Paysafecard in Canada

Vouchers are sold at selected retailers and through authorised online resellers. The retail network in Canada is smaller than in Europe, so use the store locator on the official site before heading out rather than relying on old lists. Online resellers email the PIN within minutes and accept cards, Interac or other methods, but some add a service charge to the voucher price, so compare the total before buying.

  • In store: pay cash at the counter and receive a printed receipt with the PIN. This is the most private route.
  • Online: convenient at any hour, but the reseller sees your payment details and email address.
  • Denominations: vouchers come in fixed values; buy one close to what you plan to deposit, or combine several.
  • Currency: buy CAD vouchers. A voucher in another currency may be refused or converted at a cost.
  • Keep the receipt: the PIN and serial number are your only proof if a balance query or dispute arises.

How to deposit at a Paysafecard online casino

  1. Buy a voucher in the amount you plan to deposit, in-store or from an authorised online reseller.
  2. Log in to the casino, open the cashier and check the Paysafecard minimum and maximum.
  3. Select Paysafecard and enter the deposit amount.
  4. In the Paysafecard window, type the 16-digit PIN, or log in to my paysafecard.
  5. If one PIN does not cover the amount, add more PINs in the same window (up to the C$400 payment cap).
  6. Confirm; the balance usually updates straight away.
  7. Keep the receipt until any remaining value is used up; leftover value stays on the PIN.

Why a Paysafecard deposit can fail

  • Over the cap: a single payment above C$400 is refused, even with enough PIN value.
  • Below the casino minimum: the cashier will not start the payment.
  • Currency mismatch: the casino or the voucher uses a currency the payment cannot be processed in.
  • Typo or used PIN: a mistyped or already-spent PIN is rejected; check the balance on the official site.
  • Country restriction: a voucher bought for another country may not work with a Canadian account, and vice versa.
  • Casino rules: some casinos limit how often you can deposit by voucher in 24 hours.

Withdrawing from Paysafecard casinos

Paysafecard is primarily a deposit method. A minority of casinos support payouts to a verified my paysafecard account; most do not. In practice, plan to withdraw by Interac, bank transfer, an e-wallet such as Skrill or MuchBetter, or crypto. The casino will ask for identity verification before the first withdrawal and may ask you to confirm ownership of the payout method, for example with a screenshot of your e-wallet account. Our guides on how to withdraw and KYC verification explain the typical steps.

Some casinos have a closed-loop rule: winnings go back to the method you deposited with where possible. Because a bare PIN cannot receive money, casinos that accept Paysafecard normally let you nominate an alternative, but processing can take longer if support has to approve it manually. Setting up the payout method and uploading ID before your first deposit avoids most delays.

Check withdrawal options before you deposit. If the only payout methods available are ones you cannot use, pick a different casino.

Paysafecard limits and payout times at casinos we list

Casinos set their own Paysafecard minimum and maximum, often lower than for cards or Interac. The table shows what we recorded for some casinos that list Paysafecard; payout times are for the methods you would use to cash out, since Paysafecard itself rarely receives withdrawals.

Paysafecard fees explained

Casinos generally do not charge for Paysafecard deposits, though a few pass on a processing fee; the cashier shows it before you confirm. The costs that matter usually come from the voucher itself:

  • Service fee on unused PINs: in Canada, a monthly fee of C$2.50 is deducted from a PIN's remaining balance starting in the 19th month after purchase. Spending the PIN or redeeming it into my paysafecard avoids it.
  • Conversion fee: charged when a payment involves currency conversion, for example a CAD voucher at a casino that only processes in euros. Choose casinos that accept CAD; see our CAD casinos guide.
  • Reseller mark-up: some online sellers charge a service fee on top of face value.
  • Casino-side fees: uncommon, but check the cashier, especially for small deposits.

Our fees guide and limits guide compare these costs across all methods.

Paysafecard casino bonus eligibility

In most cases voucher deposits count toward welcome offers, reloads and free spins. Some casinos, however, exclude certain prepaid methods or e-wallets from promotions, or set a higher qualifying minimum than the cashier minimum. Before opting in, check:

  • Excluded methods: whether Paysafecard is named in the bonus terms as ineligible.
  • Qualifying deposit: the minimum needed for the bonus, which may exceed one voucher's value.
  • Wagering and max bet: the same rules apply whatever method you used.
  • Withdrawal method: since you will cash out by another method, confirm it is available before the bonus locks your balance.

Our page on bonuses and payment methods explains what to look for.

Using Paysafecard on mobile

The Paysafecard payment window is built for small screens, so a mobile casino deposit works the same as on desktop: choose the method, enter the PIN or log in, confirm. The official Paysafecard app lets my paysafecard users check their balance, see transactions and find sales outlets. A password manager or the app avoids retyping 16 digits on a phone keyboard.

Is Paysafecard safe for casino deposits?

The design limits risk: no card or bank details are shared, and a PIN can only be spent up to its value. The PIN is effectively cash, though; anyone who has it can spend it, and Paysafecard payments cannot be charged back like a card payment. The main dangers are social engineering scams in which someone asks you to buy vouchers and read the PIN out by phone, text or email, for example to pay a fake tax bill, unlock a prize or release a frozen casino account.

  • A legitimate casino or support team never needs your PIN outside the payment window.
  • Buy only from recognised retailers or resellers listed on the official site.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication for my paysafecard if you use an account.
  • Choose a licensed casino with a secure cashier; our payment security guide lists what to check.

Paysafecard adds privacy, not anonymity. Casinos still verify your identity before paying out, and my paysafecard accounts have their own identity checks for higher limits.

Paysafecard and Canadian regulation

Paysafecard is offered by many internationally licensed casinos that accept Canadian players, for example under Curaçao, Kahnawake or Malta licences. In Ontario, online casinos are regulated through iGaming Ontario and the AGCO, and Alberta opened its regulated market in July 2026 with PlayAlberta and AGLC-registered operators; other provinces run lottery-corporation sites such as PlayNow and Espacejeux. Payment options differ from operator to operator, so check the cashier of the specific site. See our Ontario and Alberta pages for the regulated landscape.

Pros

  • No bank or card details shared with the casino
  • Instant deposits and wide recognition in casino cashiers
  • CAD vouchers avoid conversion fees at CAD casinos
  • Several PINs can be combined in one payment
  • Good for setting a strict budget

Cons

  • Withdrawals usually need another method
  • C$400 cap per payment limits large deposits
  • Fewer retail outlets in Canada than in Europe
  • Service fee on unused PINs from the 19th month
  • No chargebacks if you are scammed out of a PIN

Taxes and responsible play

Recreational gambling winnings are generally not taxed in Canada; our taxes guide covers the exceptions. Vouchers are a useful budgeting tool because you can only spend what you bought, but buying more is easy too. Set a deposit limit in your casino account, use cool-off tools when you need a break, and see our responsible gambling page for helplines across Canada.
