Interac is the payment method most Canadians reach for first, and for good reason: it works from the bank account you already have, deposits arrive quickly, and many casinos also pay out by e-Transfer. For small deposits, though, Interac is rarely the cheapest door into a casino. A site that advertises C$1 or C$5 may still ask C$10, C$30 or more when you choose Interac. For anyone looking for a low deposit Interac casino, the number to compare is the Interac line in the cashier, not the banner on the homepage.
Why Interac minimums are higher than headline minimums
Casinos rarely receive e-Transfers directly. Most use a third-party payment processor that collects the transfer, matches it to your account and credits your balance. The processor charges the casino per transaction, and it also carries the cost of matching references, handling returns and fraud screening. A higher minimum keeps those fixed costs proportionate. Cards and some e-wallets are often cheaper for the casino to process, which is why their minimums can be lower at the same site.
Minimums can also differ between Interac options in one cashier. Some casinos list Interac e-Transfer, a bank-connect version and services such as iDebit side by side, each with its own floor and ceiling.
Recorded Interac-casino minimums in our data
The spread in our own casino data shows why checking matters: among casinos that accept Interac, recorded minimums run from C$5 to C$60.

Where a casino records a general minimum without naming Interac, the Interac floor may be the same or higher. The cashier is the only reliable source. It also shows the maximum per deposit, which casinos set separately and which can be lower for new or unverified accounts. For a small first payment the maximum rarely matters, but it is worth knowing if you plan to deposit more later.
Interac options you may see in the cashier
Typical behaviour; options and minimums vary by casino| Option | How it works | Typical minimum | Withdrawals? |
|---|
| Interac e-Transfer (redirect) | You pick your bank, sign in on its page and approve | C$10–C$30 | Usually yes |
| Interac e-Transfer (manual) | You send a transfer from your banking app to details the casino provides | C$10–C$30 | Usually yes |
| Interac Request Money | The processor sends a request; you approve it in your banking app | C$10–C$30 | Usually yes |
| iDebit | Bank-connect services that move money from your account | Often C$10–C$20 | Often yes |
| Visa Debit / debit Mastercard | Card payment from your bank account | Often matches the casino minimum | Sometimes |
Our Interac e-Transfer page explains the e-Transfer flows in more depth. If your target is under C$10, a debit card or a bank-connect service may be the better route.
How to make a small Interac deposit
- Register at a casino and open the cashier.
- Select Interac and read the minimum and maximum shown for that method.
- Enter the lowest accepted amount, or more if you want a bonus with a higher qualifying deposit.
- Follow the flow: sign in through the redirect, approve the Request Money prompt, or send the e-Transfer manually with the reference provided.
- Wait for the balance to update, usually within minutes.
- Keep the confirmation from your bank until the deposit is credited.
If you send an e-Transfer manually, include any reference code exactly as shown and send from an account in your own name. A missing reference or a name mismatch is a common reason deposits are delayed or returned.
Why a small Interac deposit does not show up
- Below the method minimum. The processor may reject or return amounts below the casino's Interac floor.
- Missing or wrong reference. Manual transfers without the code cannot be matched automatically.
- Name mismatch. Most processors only accept transfers from an account in the casino account holder's name.
- Bank security hold. Your bank may hold a first transfer to a new recipient for review.
- Daily limit reached. Your bank's e-Transfer limit applies to all transfers, not just casino ones.
Contact casino support with the transfer confirmation if a deposit has not appeared within the time the cashier states.
Interac, small deposits and bonuses
Interac deposits are usually eligible for welcome offers, which gives them an edge over e-wallets at some casinos. The catch is the qualifying amount: Interac may accept C$10 while the bonus needs C$20 or C$30, as several rows in the table above show. Decide whether the bonus is worth the larger deposit, or play without one and keep the payment small. Remember that wagering usually applies, and that Interac-funded bonuses follow the same maximum bet and game rules as any other. Our bonus and payment method guide explains what to check.
Withdrawing small Interac balances
Interac is one of the few low-deposit methods that also handles withdrawals well. Minimum withdrawals are typically similar to or slightly above the minimum deposit, often C$10 to C$50. Many casinos apply a pending period, often up to 24 hours, before processing, and the first withdrawal requires identity verification. Once approved, many players receive the e-Transfer the same day or within one to two business days. Our fast Interac withdrawals page explains the timeline.
If you accept incoming e-Transfers with Autodeposit enabled, the money lands in your account automatically; otherwise, you will need to accept it. Unaccepted e-Transfers typically expire after a period and return to the sender, so watch your email or banking notifications after requesting a payout.
Fees and bank limits
Most casinos absorb Interac processing costs. On your side, many Canadian chequing accounts include e-Transfers, while some basic plans charge a small fee per transfer. Your bank also sets daily, weekly and per-transfer e-Transfer limits, which apply on top of the casino's own limits. Small deposits rarely hit these caps, but frequent top-ups in one day can. Limits vary by bank and account type; check your online banking settings. Our limits guide and fees guide cover how these stack.
Is Interac safe for small casino deposits?
Interac payments are authorized through your own bank, so the casino never sees your online banking login, and redirect payments happen on the bank's site. Two-step verification at your bank adds another layer. The main risks are on the casino side: use licensed operators, check the withdrawal terms before depositing, and never send an e-Transfer to an address given by a person in chat rather than shown in the cashier. Our payment security guide has more tips.
Interac at low deposit casinos by province
Interac works across Canada, including on Ontario sites regulated through iGaming Ontario and the AGCO, on the regulated Alberta market that launched in July 2026, and on provincial lottery sites such as PlayNow and Espacejeux. Many offshore casinos licensed in places like Curaçao, Kahnawake or Anjouan also accept Interac from players in other provinces. Minimums and offers can differ between a brand's Ontario site and its site for the rest of Canada, so check the version that applies to you.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum Interac deposit at online casinos?
Commonly C$10 to C$30, though a few casinos accept C$5 and some ask more. The cashier shows the exact figure for Interac at each casino.
Can I deposit $1 or $5 with Interac?
C$1 almost never; C$5 at a small number of casinos. Debit cards or other bank-linked options sometimes accept smaller amounts.
Why is the Interac minimum higher than the casino minimum?
Interac deposits usually pass through a payment processor that charges per transaction, so casinos set a higher floor to cover the fixed cost.
Are small Interac deposits eligible for bonuses?
Usually, but the bonus may require a larger qualifying deposit than the Interac minimum. Check the offer terms before you pay.
Does my bank charge for Interac casino deposits?
It depends on your account plan. Many plans include e-Transfers; others charge a small fee per transfer.
Why hasn't my Interac deposit appeared?
Common causes are a missing reference code, an amount below the minimum, a name mismatch or a bank security hold. Contact support with your transfer confirmation.
What is the minimum Interac withdrawal?
Often C$10 to C$50, depending on the casino. Wagering and identity verification must be complete first.
Can I use Interac at Ontario casinos?
Yes. Interac is widely accepted on Ontario-regulated sites, though minimums and offers may differ from a brand's site for other provinces.
